Abstract

This paper deals with the study of the digital periodic clock changes (PCC) with applications to digital communications. These PCC turn out to be part of the linear periodic time varying (LPTV) filters set. Relying on an LPTV framework, two issues are adressed. First, given a PCC, emphasis is laid on the condition for this PCC to be invertible. The second point deals with the effects of PCC on signal spectrum. Although PCC study remains a quite new research topic, equivalence between PCC and interleavers is stressed in this paper. Therefore, this paper finally proposes an original point of view on interleavers based on an LPTV framework. Particularly, new results concerning frequency effects of interleavers are presented.
