Abstract

Subjective assessment methods for compressed remote sensing images and their classification are introduced. A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is studied and applied in assessment for reconstructed remote sensing images which are compressed by JPEG2000 standard and improved SPIHT algorithm developed by Chinese astronautic scientists. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is proved to be reliable through conducting a series of experiments and some useful conclusions are obtained.
