Abstract

In this paper, a generalized image quality metric based on rough fuzzy integrals is presented. The proposed assessment is to evaluate the image quality by categorizing the pixels of the image into the edge region, texture region and flat region considering the different effects of each region on the image quality. The rough fuzzy integrals are employed into the block of pixels to assess effectively and efficiently the image quality. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed quality metric has an effective evaluation on the image quality.
