Abstract

In order to achieve rapid composition of simulation systems, we propose service oriented simulation development, which is based on service-oriented architecture and semantic web technologies to implement Simulations-on-Internet via simulation service composition. First, definitions of domain ontology, service ontology, goal ontology, and simulation services have been put forward, upon which we construct a simulation service customization model, and realize the mechanism of goal-driven service customization. Further, we discuss the general process of simulation service composition, in which we present an agent-based matchmaking protocol to mediate between requirement goals and simulation services. In the end, a case study is proposed to testify the feasibility of our method.
