Abstract

Although our knowledge regarding the health effects of RF radiation has increased considerably, it has become a focus of attention because of the accelerated use of RF radiation for wireless communication over the past few years. This article gives a brief summary of the biological effects and health aspects of RF radiation from mobile and personal communication devices. In future articles we will deal with some of the issues raised here, such as DNA and gene expression, cancer induction and promotion, impact of modulation schemes, human studies, as well as new developments in guidelines for safety protection.
