Abstract

Within the scope of the state-government granted project "eLearning Academic Network Lower Saxony" (ELAN), eLearning course units within different fields of expertise are developed and provided for higher education at the Hannover Medical School (MHH). The emphasis of present development work is the production and application of web-based course units for basic and advanced medical education in medicine and dentistry, where we have already gained some consolidated results. This paper compares evaluation data of students of the 3rd semester taking biochemistry courses in the Learning Management System (LMS) ILIAS from October 2004 to March 2005 with the consecutive term-time of students of the 3rd semester taking the same courses in 2005/2006.
