To assist people with certain physical disabilities, this paper presents an assistive system based on speech recognition. Through the proposed system, the disabled can control electronic devices such as TV, fan, etc., through simple voice commands. The proposed system includes a mouse emulator and a keyboard emulator to assist the handicapped in accessing computer functions, such as browsing the Internet, sending emails, editing a document, etc.
