Abstract

An analysis of the interactions between different resources in heterogeneous IT environment is given. The benefits of the Distributed Management Task Forces (DMTF) policies are assessed. The object-oriented information model CIM (Common Information Model) is studied. The relation between CIM and its XML implementation was evaluated. Because non-unique mapping and formalization from CIM object model to XML notations is possible, the paper suggests to minimize the specific notations and to apply only wide available and standardized xml schemas.
