Two-factor face authentication using matrix permutation transformation and a user password

This paper proposes a novel scheme for one-time tem- plates for face authentication. The suggested method changes templates after each completion of authentication like one-time passwords, thus the snapped templates can- not be reused. Matching between a gallery and a probe is performed by Euclidean distance and cosine function as in their primal form without recovering their original tem- plates even though the templates are transformed. The sug- gested method does not require much modification of con- ventional face recognition methods and can be built on es- tablished systems as an add-on.
