Abstract

This paper is concerned with the design of robustH∞ output feedback controller for uncertainpiecewise-linear systems based on piecewise-quadratic Lyapunovfunction technique. We assume that the uncertainty is norm-boundedand enters all system matrices. By constructingpiecewise-continuous Lyapunov function for the closed-loopaugmented system, we construct the H∞ outputfeedback controller design procedure as solving a set of bilinearmatrix inequalities (BMIs). The BMIs problem in this paper can besolved iteratively as a set of two convex optimization problemsinvolving linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can beefficiently solved numerically. A numerical example is used toillustrate the proposed method.
