Abstract

Designing architectures that contain static structure, dataflow, and relations between subsystems is important as it provides in an early stage of development. A blueprint that enables building a successful system. To design complex systems, alternative architectural approaches need be compared for selection that represent to varying degrees various qualities requirements from diverse stakeholders such as performance, modifiability, and security. To produce and select workable designing approaches, therefore, a Value-based Software Engineering approach which firstly recognizes and negotiates values among stakeholders, is necessary to combine business and technical requirements on a value basis. In this paper, we propose a architecture decision framework that allows architects to systematically derive and reflect both economical and technical issues in the process of architectural design
