Abstract

The Influencing Factors (IF) method guides thearchitect through stakeholders' concerns toarchitectural decisions in line with current businessgoals. The result is a set of requirements on softwarequality attributes and business goals and highlightedtrade-offs among software quality attributes andamong business goals. The IF method is suitable forsustainable software systems since it allows newconcerns, resulting from changes in business goals, stakeholder concerns, technical environment andorganization, to be added to existing concerns.
