Delivering multimedia content with precise quality of service over the energy-constrained sensor networks is enabling a new field popularly known as Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs). The major goal of these Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks is to deliver multimedia contents over wireless sensor networks with certain level of QoS guarantee while maintaining the efficient use of energy for such networks. We in this paper propose an energy efficient MAC layer protocol to deliver multimedia contents with certain degree of quality of service guarantee over such networks.
