Abstract

This paper report finding of a study of a batch chemical process using simulation. A model of an alkyd resin plant is presented and used to carry out improvement studie, to evaluate changes in plant operating condition. With the proposed changes, in the simulation studies, productivity could be improved to around ten percent.
