Abstract

Outsourcing pursuit has great impacts toward an organization in several facets. The traditional human resource management (HRM) strategy is not well-suited to respond to emerging business practices. This study posits that short-term professional model is suitable for HRs adapting their human development approach to facilitate outsourcing practice and to accommodate the short-term professional. Drawing upon existing studies upon IT outsourcing and IT HRs studies, the objective of this research is to deepen understanding the perceived change of employment paradigm influenced by IT outsourcing practice.
