Both transactional and analytical systems store data which, being accessible to unauthorised persons may result in a privacy violation. This issue has become especially important nowadays, due to more restrictive legislation concerning personal data protection and preserving data privacy. We introduce distribution-based methods of preserving data confidentiality in distributed spatial data warehouses without encrypting all sensitive data. In the paper we present how a specified security policy can be implemented in the data warehouse system as well as how analytical applications can obtain protected data from the databases. Finally, we present test results verifying efficiency of the latter operations.
