In this paper, a method for designing a CSCD/CSCW system is proposed in the form of an MAS-based model. This method can be used to develop interface agents in this model. The paper shows the importance of constructing agents that are both interactive interface agents and autonomous interface agents. We illustrate the structure of agents of the MAS-based model, especially autonomous interface agents, and discuss some design principles for such agents.
