Abstract

The aim of this project is to build a virtual image and thepatients' data and signal transfer to a remote place. Patientinformation will be available to those who have the authority toaccess the information. LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual InstrumentEngineering Workbench) is used in displaying the signal in thecomputer. Virtual instruments are created in order to acquire theelectrocardiograph (ECG) signal. LabVIEW gives the flexibility of apowerful programming language without the associated difficulty andcomplexity because its graphical programming methodology isinherently intuitive. Another signal, oxygen saturation(SpO2), is acquired through serial connection of theequipment to the computer. This project aspires to create links forthe communication between healthcare practitioners in discussingthe patients' data and situation.
