Abstract

This paper introduces a set of input-output blocks to build intuitive models of dynamic systems with mode switching due to changes in operating conditions, sensor failure, model reconfiguration, and model-order reduction. These blocks make it possible to construct hierarchical component models of mode-switching systems. An application to an automotive steer-by-wire example and Simulink simulation results are presented.
