The ultimate aim in a large number of image processing applications is to extract the various features from the image and to analyse them for interpretation or for classification. The steps in the image analysis basically involve proper image preprocessing and image segmentation process. Generally, image processing specialists develop their processing plan by trial error cycles and do not define a real formulation of the plan for the given image. To formulate the process plan generation of image analysis, a convenient knowledge organisation is preferable. In this paper, ontology consisting of all the possible processing tasks of a grey scale image is created and a process plan for the analysis of image is automatically generated using the knowledge represented in the ontology.
