Abstract

The structural funds are considered as a chance for Polish enterprises and self-government units to receive additional financial means for development of new investment projects. However, the project proposal application forms are subjected to strict selection and some of them can be rejected because of formal deficiencies or incorrect data. The enterprises and self-government units which apply for financial assistance from EU funds should make use of knowledge management system in reference to given there success stories, guidelines for applications, according to the best practice principles for financial and economical appraisal of the projects etc. The present paper is focused on application of the approximation system, based on rough set theory, for knowledge management in relation to projects to be provided with EU subsidies.
