Abstract

Based on the acknowledgement history of the most recently transmitted packets, an estimate of the channel bit error rate is made, based on which an optimal packet size can be selected through maximizing the expected throughput efficiency of ARQ protocol on Bluetooth ACL data communication link. Simulation results show that this method works very well even with a short observation history.
