In this paper, we describe an automated semantic integration method and a semantic browser to enhance the search capability of geospatial data portals. Local semantics of categorical data are integrated with natural language process technology with improvements. A global semantic network is constructed and presented to users to allow for the browsing of diverse concepts and thus to make data search more efficient and accurate. A subset of geospatial metadata maintained on the USGS Geospatial One Stop is used as sample data.
