Abstract

Electronic tongues are systems composed by an array of sensors plus a pattern recognition for the evaluation of liquids. In our case, voltametric sensors are used due to their selectivity and advantages. However, as is explained in this paper, this kind of sensors presents several problems that can be partially solved by adequate signal processing techniques. The system is completed with a neural network as pattern recognition system plus a scheme for taking account all the information obtained from the sensors.
