Abstract

In this contribution is outlined a method for an effective solution of the joint phase and timing estimator (JPT) in a tracking mode. Small errors of the phase offset and the delay offset are primary conditions for operation of the JPT synchronizer in the tracking mode. On the other hand these small deviations make it possible to transform this non-linear synchronizer into a general linear system. This paper presents the potential ways to solve this problem and to obtain reasonable results. Theoretical explanations are supported by a plain example.
