Abstract

This paper describes an electronic system designed for real-time vision applications. The system will allow the development of low-complexity tasks, such as obstacle detection, at very high frequencies. This makes it useful for robotic applications and control systems in real time (up to 25 images per second). Its design has taken into account low-cost and flexible modular solutions that can be applied in research laboratories or used with engineering students in order to make real time image process practices.
