Abstract

A first numerical assessment of the Stokes eigenmodes in the cubical fully confined domain is proposed. It is based on two different solvers, the known Projection-Diffusion method and a Lattice Boltzmann approach. The numerical results of these solvers are compared in the 2-D (square) and 3-D (cube) cases. The leading eigenvalues, as well as their multiplicity, supplied by both solvers are in good agreement.
