Abstract

This paper describes a learning method of fuzzy rules using counter propagation networks (CPNs). First, the initial assignment of fuzzy rules by use of CPNs is determined. Further the number of fuzzy rules to an objective value, inference error, is determined by a constructive method. In order to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method, some numerical simulations are performed.
