Abstract

Designing surface models for products used in biomedical applications requires geometric softwares which can design good convex surfaces. Therefore the geometric modellers need to contain modules which can convexify a given grid of points, which in turn can be interpolated by surfaces using known algorithms to obtain almost convex surface. In this paper we explain our algorithm to design a smooth convex surface model for cranial implant fitting the cranial CT data in the least square sense.
