Abstract

This paper use genetic algorithm for solve the problem of automatic plate detection. In the first moment, is used image filtering, edge detection, polygons analysis and plate detection. In the second moment, is used the genetic algorithm for the recognition of characters. The methodology is detailed in text corp.
