Abstract

Teaching at a faith based, liberal arts, college requires relating one's academic discipline to other disciplines and to religious beliefs. I have found guidance on how to do this as a computer scientist to be sparse. However, Object Oriented Design (OOD) provides a rich set of connections to other sciences, philosophy, theology, and ultimately a better understanding of self. This paper looks at how OOD dialogs with these other areas and how this might fit pedagogically.
