In this paper, a new strategy for control of a tubular heat exchanger system using multiple models approach has been presented. The proposed control strategy is realized using Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) fuzzy-based modeling. In this strategy, each environment of the system is first presented by an explicit linear model. Then for each model, its corresponding fuzzy generalized predictive controller is designed. For demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed approach, simulations are done and the results are compared with those obtained using the single model predictive control approach. The results can verify the validity of the proposed control scheme.
