Abstract

In common applications of control systems the fault would only be detected when the output signal, previously set up, were out of the values' range, and it couldn't be any chance to change it under the actual commands. At this moment, due to the chosen strategy, in most cases the system shuts down, occurrence that must be avoided in any aircraft control system. In this paper an on-line expert fuzzy FDI system for execution element of a B747 automatic flight control system (AFCS) is illustrated.
