Abstract

In this paper, our focus is towards incorporation of a knowledge management systems in remote human machine interface devices (e.g. Personal Digital Assistants) for extracting concrete and precise information and knowledge about manufacturing systems and processes in highly automated manufacturing environment. By introducing the information system based on precise knowledge management approach in the manufacturing environment helps the user in accessing the information material in an organized form so that on-process modification and optimization can be done faster, safer and simpler depending upon the maturity level of the user.
