Abstract

This work describes a prototype for user authentication in computer networks using speech. Initially, it is given a general overview of the proposed system, focusing in its client/server model. After this, the main characteristics of the system building blocks are shown, focusing on the techniques for speaker recognition, database, client/server communication and management, and user interface application. At last, the results obtained with user interaction are discussed and future works are addressed.
