MOBILE ad hoc networks (MANETs) are collections of mobile nodes, dynamically forming a temporary network without pre-existing network infrastructure or centralized administration. In this work there is a comparison of three routing protocols using various metrics such as Delay, Jitter, Sequence number, throughput, mobility, scalability, number of packets dropped with 3-D comparison. Further metrics can be used to analysis number of packet dropped, average delays, jitters of packets, sequence number of sent packets. Furthermore recommendations are given as per results. It is concluded that DSR performs fairly well with small and medium sized network. TORA performs well with dynamic networks.
