Abstract

Ordered fuzzy numbers (OFN) form a generalization of classical convex fuzzy numbers, for which membership functions may not exist; however, they posssess oriented membership curves. The generalized concept of a fuzzy number, namely OFN, appears as an ordered pair of continuous real functions defined on the interval [0, 1]. New class of defuzzyfication functionals is introduced within the concept of ordered fuzzy numbers. With the help of the variational calculus next defuzzyfication functionals can be obtained.
