Abstract

In this contribution, we present a new library (that can be used in addition to any MPI library) which allows writing optimized applications for heterogeneous environments without the need of relying on intrinsic adaptation features provided by a particular MPI implementation. This is achieved by giving the application programmer the ability to introduce new self-predefined attributes and communicators whose semantics can be adjusted to each respective environment. Furthermore, we have also developed an additional tool set that form a framework around this library in order to simplify such an adjustment for the user.
