Social networks and recommender systems that advise items between their members have spread across the Internet. These recommenders must take into account the distributed and dynamic nature of the knowledge shared in social networks. Opinions and preferences can change and thus, allowing agents to argue about recommendations could improve their quality. This paper proposes the use of dialogue games as mechanism for modelling the dialogue between users that share their recommendations in a social network. The paper specifies the interaction protocol, defines some metrics to evaluate recommendations and finally, offers a brief discussion about decision policies.
