Distributed sensor environments are emerging as a feasible solution to various datacollection applications. However, energy constraints on sensor nodes, which areusually battery powered, hinder the successful deployment of such networks. Aproposed adaptive middleware framework for energy-aware information collectionin sensor networks will ensure overall application quality while reducingcommunication overhead.
