In Spring 2003, Carnegie Mellon University offered an innovative course called Internet-Scale Sensor Systems: Design and Policy. The advanced graduate course combined a study of current research in technical and societal issues in sensor networks with projects based on the IrisNet project at Intel Research Pittsburgh. This column includes overviews of course requirements and student projects.
