In Spring 2003, Carnegie Mellon University offered an innovative course called Internet-Scale Sensor Systems: Design and Policy. The advanced graduate course combined a study of current research in technical and societal issues in sensor networks with projects based on the IrisNet project at Intel Research Pittsburgh.
