Multi-agent based software licensing model for embedded systems

The techniques of agent bring intelligence and flexibility to internet while it is difficult for embedded devices connected to internet to take this advantage. With more and more embedded devices being connected to internet, it is necessary to achieve the simplified agents in embedded system. This paper analysis flexibility of internet and disadvantages of embedded system at first, then proposes a new architecture of embedded agent system based on the theory of agent. This architecture is built with the help of web service technology, which simplify the achievement of embedded agents. In this architecture, agent manager is the key part and is discussed in greater detail. Finally an instance of electric power RTU is designed to verify the feasibility of this architecture.
