Cooperative Information Gathering Systems (CIGS) require thecoordination of multiple agents executing tasks in a distributed, open and heterogeneous setting. In this complex and highlyinteractive context, it is essential to include explicitcoordination models to ensure the coherent and efficient behaviourof cooperative agents. The paper identifies the three main issueswhich are essential for addressing this problem and expresses themin three interrelated models. The information model is implementedin Protege as a combination of an OWL ontology and SWRL rules. Thetask and organisational models are represented by High Level PetriNets and extended And/Or graphs.
