Recently, cooperative communication which makes it possible for even a single-antenna node to have multi-antenna virtually has opened a new chapter of the diversity technique. In cooperative transmission, source messages should be delivered to cooperating nodes first since all antennas are not located at a node. This coordination phase decreasing the overall bandwidth-efficiency is one of big questions in cooperative communication. In this paper, we propose a scheme which alleviates it through novel use of dual carrier modulation and an adequately designed cooperative space-time block code. Some simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme achieves similar error performance to the classical algorithm while providing higher transmission rate.
