Abstract

The 705 Autocoder is a system of automatic coding for use with the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) EDPM type 705. However, before description of the system, the distinction between automatic programming and automatic coding will be emphasized. This will help to place the Autocoder (which, of course, is "automatic coder") in its proper perspective.
