Abstract

This paper proposes a method of developing specific disease data warehouse such as hypertension data warehouse. Significant steps in developing the data warehouse will be described especially data extraction, transformation and loading. The purpose of developing this data warehouse is to help/assist the specialist, health care team, pharmacists to figure out the best and suitable strategies to be implemented during the screening, referral and follow up process. As the data may come from various data sources mostly different websites, the amount of time spent of this tasks is often underestimated. Issues on how we crawl the data from various data sources and store it into database will be discussed further.
