To accurately obtain dynamic characteristics of a heat exchanger, the neural network modeling method was used on the basis of having known the heat exchanger’s operating point. The method identified the model parameters at the operating point firstly, and then used filtered input and output data to train the neural network to predicted output. The experimental results show that the neural network modeling method can predict the heat exchanger’s dynamic performance effectively, and proves that it is an effective way in the modeling of the heat exchanger’s dynamic performance.
