Abstract

Mobile Ad Hoc networks is a multi-hop temporary autonomous networks, completely consisting of mobile nodes. In such networks, traditional routing protocol cannot effectively function. Considering the characteristics of mobile Ad Hoc networks, QRULA which can support QoS controlled routing is given to satisfy the demands of Ad Hoc networks with unidirectional Links. This protocol fully considers the existing unidirectional network, uses the UpperTable between adjoining nodes to choose the route with the limitation of delays and bandwidths, the QRULA can perform well in the scenarios of mobile Ad Hoc networks with unidirectional links. The simulated performance of the QRULA is done and reported. The result shows that QRULA can not only work well in the environment of Ad Hoc networks with unidirectional Links, but also has the advantage in such aspects as route loads and package transmission rates.
