One of the benefits of the current service-oriented architecturesis the easy static composition of geographicallyscattered services into complex applications. Dynamiccomposition is more difficult to achieve with the currenttechnologies. We propose a practical solution for dynamiccomposition of the facilities provided by Computer AlgebraSystems, based on Grid services and the WS-BPEL standardWeb service orchestration language. Moreover, we introducea methodology for migrating from Web services toGrid services using databases for persistence.
