Abstract

Usability is based on the knowledge of the user and her tasks. A review of the literature demonstrated that there's little research on users of interactive TV in Brazil. Based on similar work done in foreign countries it was possible to formulate an initial classification, which was extended to incorporate specific requirements for the Brazilian population. The postulated profiles were presented to specialists from the field and the validated and complemented. As result four user profiles for interactive TV in Brazil are presented with their characteristics and usability requirements.
